The GhostWire: Tokyo dev from that alimentary E3 demo straight off has her own studio

Ikuma Nakamura, the delightful former Tango Gameworks dev who brought many wholesome vibes to 2019's E3 demonstration, has formed her own indie studio.

A 17-minute documentary from Game*Muriel Sarah Spark and Archipel shows Nakamura speaking about her history with games exploitation, and what led to her surprise departure every bit creative manager along GhostWire: Tokyo (thanks, PlayDiaries).

"You can't score games if you're not healthy," Nakamura said, seemingly referring to crush culture and touch on the fact that her old Capcom colleagues would sleep under their desks. "I started wondering whether in that location wasn't a way for me to make games while flavor better. I took the decision to quit before information technology was too late."

Nakamura took the time off to turn various studios around the world, using insight gained connected "what made a good working environment" to open her own indie studio. Nakamura doesn't pass a name for the studio in the representational, nor does she plump into more detail about what she's working on. She did bestow that she wants to "stopover making games too seriously", however, and work on "a stake engorged of dark jokes," comparison herself to Deadpool.

Hiring non-Japanese developers is one of Nakamura's main goals for her fres studio, saying she wants to learn from new cultures and "speak with people who rich person the curiosity to learn and interpret from to each one other."
